WHAT WE DO
YOUR FIRST LINE OF SECURITY & WELCOME
The reception desk is both the first impression of your building and its primary security checkpoint. A poorly managed front of house creates two problems simultaneously it reflects badly on your organisation and it leaves your building vulnerable. A well placed concierge security officer solves both.

Our reception and concierge officers are selected and trained specifically for corporate and hospitality environments. They combine strong interpersonal skills with sharp situational awareness managing visitor sign in and access credentials, coordinating deliveries and contractor access, monitoring building entry points and responding to security incidents, all while maintaining the calm, professional composure expected at the front of a corporate building, residential development, or hotel.

We work with commercial landlords, corporate occupiers, residential managing agents, hotel operators and healthcare facilities across Kent providing officers who genuinely elevate the environment they're placed in, not just occupy a desk.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
RECEPTION & CONCIERGE SECURITY SERVICES FAQS
What is the difference between a receptionist and a concierge security officer?
A standard receptionist manages administrative front of house functions but typically has no security training, legal powers, or incident response capability. A concierge security officer holds a SIA licence, has conflict management training, emergency response qualifications and the awareness and authority to act on security incidents. You get the best of both: a professional welcome and a genuine first line of security.
Do concierge officers cover out of hours and overnight shifts?
Yes. We provide concierge security for the full 24 hour cycle day, evening and overnight. Many of our corporate and residential building clients require 24/7 front of house coverage. Overnight officers often also take on additional building security duties including regular internal patrols, alarm monitoring and liaison with any mobile patrol support.
How do you ensure the officer reflects our building's professional standard?
We select officers for reception and concierge roles specifically it's not a posting we give to any available licensed officer. We look for strong interpersonal skills, professional presentation, composure under pressure and experience in client facing environments. Before deployment, the officer meets with your management team to understand your building's standard and expectations.
Can you provide both concierge security and mobile patrols for the same building?
Yes and this is a very common combination, particularly for larger developments, residential blocks, and corporate campuses. A concierge officer manages front of house and main entry during staffed hours, while mobile patrols cover the car park, perimeter, and building exterior at night or during unstaffed periods. Both services operate under the same Akon Security operations team, sharing information and coordinating responses seamlessly.
